Expo2020 Dubaiunder the theme“Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021. It is expected to receive 25 million visitors. More than 190nationsand international organizationshaveconfirmedtheir participation so far.
Zhang Shenfeng,vicepresident of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade(CCPIT), said that China has been committed to promoting opening up and cooperation and peaceful development through the World Expo.Themed“Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind--Innovation & Opportunity”, the China Pavilion will elaborate on China’s conceptofinnovative development, showcase new opportunities China has brought to the world through institutional and technological innovation. China will also share its experiences and carry out exchanges and cooperation with UAE and other participants.
According to Zhang Jun,deputygeneralmanager ofmarketing andpublicrelationsdepartmentofTencent Group, Tencent's technologies will be unveiledatthe China Pavilion, including speech recognition, gesture recognition, smart retail, writing robots, etc.,showing the future life of science and technology through creativity and interaction. Tencent will also work withCCPITto develop anappas an interactive platform to bring visitors smart experiences.
Zhangalso addedthat in recent years, Tencenthasmaintained a good relationship of cooperation and exchange with Dubai, and has been committed to improving experiences of Chinese touriststhroughadvertising solutions, WeChat, apps, WeChat payment. The Expo2020 Dubaiwillbringgreater space for future cooperation between the two sides.
