Number of visitors to China Pavilion of Expo 2020 Dubai exceeds100,000

    Since theExpo 2020 Dubai opened on Oct. 1 local time, the China Pavilion has gained popularity with tourists from all over the world and wongreat praisefroma host ofdistinguished guests at home and abroad.  

    As one of the largest pavilions of the expo, the China Pavilionreceived100,000 visitors in just 20 days, accounting for one-sixth of the total number of visitors to the expo.  

    OnOct.17 local time, when a visitor from Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), entered the preface hall of the China Pavilion with his friends became the 100,000th visitor to thepavilion, asgreetingwords emergedonabig screen. 

    As ofOct.17, delegations from 30 countries, including the UAE, Austria and Russia, had visited the China Pavilion. They were deeply impressed by the high-tech and interactive exhibits including the Beidou film displayed on a circular screen, the high-speed rail simulated driving and future concept vehicles. The exhibits embodying rich Chinese culture such as the Chinese character wall and the painting“A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains” alsoamazed them. 

    Constantino Chiwenga,Zimbabwe's vice president and health minister,showed interest inthe Chinese culture showcased at the pavilion. He said that the exhibits have displayedChinese culture and represented symbolsreflecting the country’s modern development.

    UAE Minister of State and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Global Market Ahmed Ali Al Sayeghsaid he was most impressed by the China Pavilion. He noted that the China Pavilion presents China's culture and progress well and hoped that more visitors can come to the pavilion and learn about China'sdevelopment and prosperity.

    Vice President of Communications and Official Spokesperson forExpo 2020 Dubai Mohammed Al Ansari admired theFuxing bullet train most. Ansari acclaimed the high-speed rail as extraordinary innovation. In addition, he learned about much interesting Chinese culture and enjoyed his experience of appreciating the exhibits at the China Pavilion.

    Secretary General of the Bureau International des ExpositionDimitri Kerkentzes spoke highly of the value of the China Pavilion andsaid hebelieved that itwouldattract a large number of visitors once it opens. Kerkentzessaidthat the China Pavilion not only shows China's understanding of unity and cooperation, but also presents thevaluesof worldwide collaborations.

    Delegates from other pavilions of the Expo were also impressed by the China Pavilion.

    Raphael Nagel, who is in charge of theSouth Sudan Pavilion, said visitors can see thefuture technologies at the China pavilion and theinteraction is quite interesting. He advised that everyoneshouldvisit the China Pavilion.  

    Khaled, who is in charge of theEgypt Pavilion of the Expo 2020 Dubai, extolled enthusiastically thedrone performanceat the China Pavilion.

    Since its opening, the China Pavilion hashosteda slew ofeventssuch asBeidou Satellite Day, Giant Panda Exhibition, Beijing Week, andJiangsu Week. China Pavilion willsimultaneously broadcast the CCTV Spring Festival Gala at the pavilion tobring more Chinese culturethrough theExpo2020Dubai.
