Thereisa special pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai – the Women's Pavilion. The pavilion aims at conveying the true voices of women and paying tribute to“She Power” in social life.  

The Expo 2020 Dubai set up the Women’s Pavilion to show real-life stories of women andtheExpo’s commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment.

The Women's Pavilion oftheExpo 2020 Dubai is locatedin the sustainable development area.

In the first exhibition hall of the Women's Pavilion, the pavilion’s theme"Women Thrive, Humanity Thrives"is displayed on a wooden wall, raising a question forevery visitor: What’s your perspective?  

Visitors can start their tripwith an introductory film.The film is conducted in the form of interviews on issues like gender equality and stereotypes, shedding insights on the vision of women’s future development and contributions to social development.

Next, thethemed hall“Women Light the Way” showcases outstanding female representatives in such fields as military, natural science, politics, education and music, including the 13-year-old Xun Guan whosaved her father from the enemy’s siege in Western Jindynasty(265-317) of China, Jocelyn Burnell who is the co-discoverer of the first pulsar, Madame Curie who discovered radioactive elementsofradium and polonium, and Cleopatra VII who saved the Ptolemaicdynasty(305-30 B.C.).

At the next hall, sets of statistics suggest manyproblemsremaininsociety. For example, more than 100 million women still have no access to schools; just over 20 countries in the world are led by women; one in three women has experienced physical violence; and women are still paid less than men. At the hall, viewersare inspired to jointly solve these problems. 

In the next exhibition area stands a thriving oak tree, and the lush foliage symbolizes female prosperity. On the wallsare vivid examples of the irreplaceable roles women play across various industries and fields.
